Works with independent sales representatives to promote Nol-Tec Systems within an assigned territory. Requires travel to customer sites. Trains sales representatives and customers to educate them on Nol-Tec equipment. Manages sales representatives in assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate Sales Activities Within Assigned Territory
• Selects, trains, and evaluates sales representatives for territory.
• Maintains ongoing contact with sales representatives and travels with them periodically.
• Follows up on open proposals in assigned territory.
• Prepares and conducts educational training on Nol-Tec equipment.
• Monitors sales representative performance and recommends contract continuation or termination.
Generate Proposals
• Analyze customer requests to determine solutions to material handling needs.
• May delegate proposal generation to Application Engineer, and supervise activities of Applications Engineer.
• Coordinates with other departments at Nol-Tec to obtain accurate information for bidding. Solicits information from outside vendors as needed to prepare proposals.
• Coordinates product testing in Nol-Tec Test Lab as required to meet customer requirements.
• May direct CADD activities for the purpose of getting proposal drawings.
• Determines sales price and estimated delivery of customer solution.
Contract Management
• Completes job information sheet and assemblies job file for new orders.
• Facilitates negotiation/approval of contract.
• Initiates project kick-off meeting with Engineering and Purchasing.
• Communicates change orders to internal departments.
• Resolves disputes with customer to meet contract obligations and system performance expectations.
Customer Service
• Contact customers on a regular basis. Visit as necessary to present proposals and maintain a healthy working relationship.
• Educate customers on Nol-Tec equipment.
• Coordinate and host customer visits to Nol-Tec for product testing and meetings. Hosting may include arranging meals, lodging, and entertainment.
• Provide ongoing customer service and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
Marketing Activities
• Attend trade shows, sales meetings and seminars as needed.
• Provide customer feedback to Marketing Department to help determine marketing effectiveness.
• Advise Marketing Department of any significant business activities of competition.
• Look for new markets in which to sell Nol-Tec products/systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
1. Provide direction to Applications Engineer.
2. Instructs, coaches, assigns and evaluates work performance of independent sales representatives.
3. Authority to make decisions on the initiation, renewal, or termination of contracts with independent sales representatives.

• Experience in direct customer communication
• Experience in mechanical or pneumatic systems design and dense phase pneumatic conveying
Knowledge
• Knowledge of mechanical or pneumatic systems design.
• General understanding of pneumatic conveying system concepts.

• Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet software
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong logic and problem solving skills
