Extec & Fintec Provide Irish Contract Crushing Solution

An Irish contract crushing and screening contractor has put his faith in a combination of equipment from Sandvik group companies Extec and Fintec to meet the specific demands of customers in Ireland.

County Antrim-based Kyrush Ltd is meeting the crushing and screening needs of its customers with a combination of Extec and Fintec equipment. The company is employing an Extec C-12 track-mounted mobile crusher, an Extec E7 screen and a Fintec 542 screen to deliver a complete contract crushing and screening solution in both quarrying and recycling applications.

Young Company

Kyrush Ltd was founded just three years ago by current managing directors Eamonn Kelly and Rhys Yardley. But the company has already established a formidable reputation for the quality of its crushing and screening work, a fact that has in turn helped the company develop an enviable customer portfolio. “From the outset, we wanted to be known for quality,” says Eamonn Kelly. “That includes the equipment we use, the services we offer, and the end products we deliver.”

It was this insistence on quality that led Kelly to build his equipment fleet around machines from Sandvik group companies Extec and Fintec. “As a contract crushing company, we never know if we will be working in a quarry or recycling environment so we need our equipment to be versatile and efficient,” he continues. “In addition, our customers are wholly dependent upon our ability to crush and screen quickly and productively. That is why we chose Extec and Fintec machines.”

Right on Track

Kelly reports that his company is usually called into a customer’s quarry after blasting to produce materials for stockpiling or onward sale. “In recent years, quarry operators have sought to reduce their costs by outsourcing their crushing and screening duties to contract companies like ours,” he says.

The Extec and Fintec machines typically work in train together, with the Extec C-12 acting as a primary crusher feeding to the Extec E7 which takes care of the initial screening duties. The Fintec 542 tends to be employed in separating customer-specified grades, typically 4, 6, 10, 14 and 20 mm fractions. “All our crushing and screening equipment is track-mounted and highly manoeuvrable,” Kelly continues. “This means that they can be deployed quickly precisely where and when they are needed, carry out the required crushing and screening work, and then move on to the next site equally efficiently.”

Although purchased primarily for their productivity, Eamonn Kelly says that it is the operational flexibility of the machines that has impressed him most. All three machines are able to cope with everything we have thrown at them and are equally at home in a quarry or recycling site,” he concludes. “I have been really impressed by the sheer toughness of the machines and by the aftersales support we have received.
