I'm working on a new wood log process equipement in a hot pond for replacement of traditional chain jack lader. My new concept will act like a sceen so the logs will be carry over and Several waste will pass trough down in the water bellow.
The waste will be sand, small rocks 1" average diameter and pieces of bark. Actualy, i observe that the pieces of bark can be 10"X 6" X 1/2" thick (poplar wood) and the mix of those waste is relatively uniform.
I look for some ways to carry out those debris. Shaftless screws seems adequate but the suppliers don't feel comfortable with this application. THe screws have to work on a 25 to 30 degres of angle and there is a lot of turbulence made by the equipement over. I think about 2 other avenues to work on that problem. A scraper conveyor or a trash pump. I will have a bench test in operation in the end of june and have the possibility to test some principles. Is there somekind of other device i can put there or anyone who can give some advice according to that kind of application?
