A THIRD TECHINT TECHNOLOGIES SHIPLOADER IN OPERATION AT CVRD TERMINALS, BRAZIL
Genoa, February 25, 2004 - A new shiploader supplied by Techint Technologies in consortium with the Brazilian manufacturer Confab, also part of Techint Group of Companies, entered into full operation at the CVRD Pier III Ponta da Madeira Terminal, Sao Luis (Brazil).
The shiploader has a capacity of 8000 tph of iron ore and it will be used to load vessels up to 200,000 DWT.
With the installation of this shiploader, all the iron ore at Carajas Terminal is loaded through Techint Technologies system; in fact, other two Techint shiploaders are already operating at CVRD Iron Ore Terminals: one is located at Pier I and it is still the largest iron ore shiploader in the world having a capacity of 20.000 tph iron ore and the other, of 8000 tph capacity, is at Pier II.
