Welcome to the Particle Characterization & Analysis Forum

The primary objective of this forum is to solve existing problems and circumvent future problems by expanding our understanding of particle characterization techniques and methods. Along the way, we will discuss how selecting or controlling certain physical characteristics of particles improves products and processes, and contributes to a general understanding of physical phenomena. We will discuss tried-and-true analytical techniques, new techniques, and try to get a grasp on future analytical trends.

The forum should be of interest of laboratory technicians, quality/production control personnel, researchers, and students.

Sieve Analysis Problems

Erstellt am 19. Aug. 2005 - 09:23

who can help answer our qustions on sieving?

we found that

1.different sieves from different producers may result in different results

2.even using the same sieve, the results can be different from two attempts

3.the result is dependent on the time used to shake the sieves

4.how long should a sieve's life be?Only once or how many times?
