Antibacterial Treatment by Heat

Posted in: , on 25. May. 2010 - 13:48

Dear Sirs,

we are looking for suitable machinery for treatment of mineral powders (0 - 100µm) by heat to reduce or even eliminate bacteria and funghi.

The heat treatment should be in line with the production between mechanical pulverizer and packaging (1.000 kg per hour)

The temperature should be at least 150°C till maximum 300°C depending on the contact time.

The available place in the factory is quite limited.

Many thanks for your kind interest

Rolf

Products can be heated in jacketed screw conveyor, using oil at 250 degrees C to sterilise the powder. A more compact alternative is to employ a specially designed form of jacketed fountain mixer that can either be used as a batch or continuous device. Contact lyn@ajax for more information.
