How to calculate the power for a screw conveyor

Dir Sir, I want to kown how to calculate power for a screw conveyor. Could you give me a formula for it? If my parameter is screw pitch is 400mm, diameter of the screw blade is 400mm,the srew rotary revolution is 40 rpm.the capacity of the device is 25 cube meter per hour, degree of filling is 50% and the inclination angle is 3 degree. is there parameter enough?Could you give the formula to show how the power is calculated. Thank you very much.

It would also be useful to know the conveyor length. Power calculations for screw conveyors are available from CEMA publications and many web sites of conveyor manufacturers. These are invariably based on empirical data, but suffice for general use unless special circumstances arise. I would suggest adopting some caution about using formula without a basic inderstanding of the bulk material properties and how duty requirements may affect performance when specialised suppliers operate in todays very competitive conditions.
