You may wish to consider our DSI Snake Sandwich High Angle Conveyor to elevate the grain up to the Dome. It is a case of compatibility. Whereas the Dome uses curvature for structural strength and stability our DSI Snake uses curvature to induce radial pressure due to tension; the hugging pressure that holds the grain load between smooth surfaced belts from loading to discharge.

If you don't yet a solution, you can check our web site www.dome-structures.com or www.haring.ch, we have several solutions for bulk storage buildings and for example the dome solution can have +-200m diameter and +-60m height in the middle. It's possible to apply cranes in the roof structure.
The structure is in timber (glulam) and the fire resistence can be 30m, 60m or more. The hazard conditions of the storage material isn't normally a problem has you can see for example in one of the buildings done, the salt storage in Switzerland www.saldome.ch
The erection work is much faster then a concrete or steel solution and the equipament necessary to built is much less.

I have 25 years experience with design, project management, procurement, equipment supply, and field commissioning of grain handling systems.
I personally would advise against such large storage domes (200,000 ton) as it does not allow for segregation of specific protein levels and is asking for hot spot problems even if it can be sealed for fumigation and has aeration. Although it may be inexpensive to construct, the long term costs from spoiled grain will make it more expensive. The old addage holds especially true for grain storage - pay me now or pay me later. Do yourself a favor a pay now for multiple smaller storage structures for long term grain quality.
If you are going to install a Dome, Dome Technology (Mr. Barry South) of Idaho Falls is the best in the business.
