We have worked with Estructuras Domo from Spain. We designed the silo loading and discharge systems for these cement silos:

Dear Sir,

several years ago (autum98) I developed a housing project using airform textil products. It was a nice two floors-250 square metres building. It took me a long time to do the job. Basements , circular concrete slab and fabric walls to support the dome were buit in late 99 (I can send to you some nice pictures) but then, the main contractor (John Souza) refused to build the dome.

We were UNABLE to find another contractor.

So the work, located in "Fresnedillas de la Oliva" an small town near Madrid is still unfinnished.

Nowadays I am working in a big firm developing huge commercial buildings. But I can send to you some of documents and drawings related to the (sleeping) project.

Good look

Dome Structures

If you don't yet a solution, you can check our web site www.dome-structures.com or www.haring.ch, we have several solutions for bulk storage buildings and for example the dome solution can have +-200m diameter and +-60m height in the middle. It's possible to apply cranes in the roof structure.

The structure is in timber (glulam) and the fire resistence can be 30m, 60m or more. The hazard conditions of the storage material isn't normally a problem has you can see for example in one of the buildings done, the salt storage in Switzerland www.saldome.ch

The erection work is much faster then a concrete or steel solution and the equipament is much less.

I hope this could help you.

Best regards,

Sergio Lucas

Why do you want to use a dome solution? There are other solutions that works as good as dome silos. For example Flat silos. Have a look at www.metalmollet.com SDP products.
