Bin Geometry Design Program

I'd like to know, who is interested in the following CAD program to determine the bin geometry using Jenike method after the flow properties test?

Description of basic functions of the program:

1. Accept the flow properties in the format of empirical equations.

2. Calculate the bin critical values, i.e. opening dimension B and hopper half angle Alpha

3. Generate the B-Alpha and B-flow rate data

4. Determine the best B and Alpha, based on required bin volume, bin height, cylinder diameter, solids flow rate

5. Output AutoCAD graphs for the bin manufacture

The process would finish in 5 minutes including time of inputing data.

Any suggestions to such a program?

Price Not Known Yet

Unfortunately I am the programmer only in the research team and I can't decide the price alone.

However, I believe, as the program has not been finished yet, priorities and discount would be given to whom provides valuable suggestions, even using of trial version of the software.

Any advice on what would you like the program to be would appreciate.

Tanshm,

I offer to evaluate your software results against our DEM codes to quantify equalities and differences. I propose we agree upon a series of bin and silo configurations. This will also provide understanding on the degree of sophistication that you/we can handle such as pressure reducing inserts.

DEM can map the consolidation stress fields that show a sensitivity toward arching and pluggage. It can also show liner shear work and impact activity to map wear field intensity. Comminution of granular material can also be evaluated.
