I am working with a client who has several plants located in various European countries and I am involved with upgrading the existing systems which handle the carbon blacks.

I know that the ATEX requirements may very well apply and would like to become more familiar with the ATEX requirements, especially the various classifications and zones which must be considered.

Can anyone suggest a reference site or document which summarizes those requirements?

I believe each location will need a individual risk analysis to be performed but at this time I am just looking for an overview of ATEX and it's requirements.
