Limestone Conveyor

Hello, everyone,

questions regarding conveyor systems ( pipe or flat ) should be discussed with conveyor belt manufacturers as Contitech / Northeim , Fenner Dunlop, Draachten or similar companies.

We are concentrating on vulcanizers for splicing and cooking rubber conveyor belts and add. fusion materials.

Thank you for your inquiry for transporting limestone 2.5 Km.

Please refer to and complete our Questionnaire on our website http://www.pneutrans.net. All the details are important. Also please describe

clearly the typography of the pipe route, for example, sending from up to down, sending flat, sending to up. Are there hills or valleys or rivers to

cross? These details are required.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Enclosed Belt

Posted on 31. Oct. 2005 - 12:40

Dear Mr. Bharat,

If you consider a pipe conveyor or flat belt, you could also consider the EBS conveyor. This conveyor is also closed but is able to negotiate smaller horizontal curves.

Yhe maxximum capacity is about 450 m3/hr.

First,

What is your conveying rate?

Pipe conveyor should be considered.

There might be other less costly options.

Also, by what means are you loading the overland transporter?

and what will you be discharging the transporter into?

How often will this system be operating?

Is this a ship unloading project, truck unloading, mill discharge, etc.?

Pipe Conveyor

Posted on 16. Dec. 2005 - 12:43

Dear Bharat

It is very difficult to suggest pipe or belt conveyor when conveyor profile is not known. In case of straight profile without any lift of conveyor you will find following comparasion

1.02.5 km long pipe conveyor

capacity =1500 tph lime stone handling

Belt width –1400 mm

Pipe dia-350 mm

Belt rating ST –800

CONSUMED POWER –450 kw

Motor rting ---------------2x250 kw motor

No of idler rolls – 15000

2.02.5 km long belt conveyor

capacity =1500 tph lime stone handling

Belt width –1000 mm

Belt speed –4.5 m/sc

Belt rating ST –1000

CONSUMED POWER –340 kw

Motor rting ---------------2x200 kw motor

No of idler rolls – 6000

you will fid for same speed pipe conveyor consumes more power due to following

belt weght is more as belt width is higher

no of rolls are 2.5 times higher

cost is about 25/30 percent more

However if you go for more than one belt conveyor compared to curved conveyor then belt conveyor cost / powe will increase.

If you send me detail we can study and tell you about exect coparasion
