Dear Mr. Blenkhorn

We would be please to quote on a new machine. Please advise your motor voltage and enclosure requirements. Also, do you have special material requirements or is there a paint spec? As the machine is large, what will you pull it with, or would you like it self propelled?

We look forward to hearing from you,

Best Regards,

Dear Mr Blenkhorn,

It will be much quicker and simpler to build a winder to you specifications-when I was working at Cargill Salt in Lansing, New York we made a winder for both our 24, 36 and 42 inch belt and they still use it to this day after 25 years!!!! do not waste your money as I can help you very quickly with this. Email me at lzaharis@lightlink.com with your e-mail and I will send the info right to you.

Belt Winder

Dear Mr. Blackhorn,

I designed and manufactured a belt winder in my workshop for a cement plant years ago. This winder works fine and is still in opration.

I wouldn't recommend to bay a used winder because of the risks ref. the working safety. The most importent parts of the winder especially the main shaft has to be designed according to a static calculation.

This winder mentioned above meets your requests refering size, weigth and maximum width of the belts and was designed basicly for winding steel cable reinforced belts with a width of up to 1200mm ( 4'), a max. weight of 8000kg (ca.17 650 lb). In addition we designed and manufytured some stands for storing the belt rolls at the place of their installation .

Due to the adjustability of the belt width the winding mashine garanties always staight winded belt rolls instead of "snail houses"or "turbans".

The steel structure of the winder, especially the shaft and steel hub (core) of the belt rolls are staticly calculated and garanty the working safety.

To safe working time the winder is driven by a VFD controlled reducer motor to gain acceptable belt speeds for winding small and big rolls. Hydraulic drive of the winding axle is also available.

The mashine I'm describing stands on skids and is equiped with additional side supports to prevent the winder from tipping over. Your mashine has to be foldable for transportation depending on the given maximum dimensions.

We would like to quote:

Design, Manufacturing and Delivery

of the mashine according to your detailed specification.

If delivery from Germany is accepted we will be proud to submit our qoute a.s.p.

Please be so kind and add some information about the Voltage. We are also interested to know how often the winder will be in operation (every day or once a month?), it allows us to design the mashine better to your needs.
