Two procedures with one dryer

The Paddle Dryer from NARA-Machinery is an indirect dryer, which apart from the basic procedures drying, heating and cooling can also be used for crystallization, coating, sterilization and calcinations. Because of its wide range of applications it is equally suitable for the food industry, pharmaceuticals, special chemicals as well as for thick slurries. Approx. 90% of the global productions of SAP (super absorbers, as used in diapers) are dried in this type of machine.

The NARA paddle dryer can do even more: Thanks to the division into two sections it is possible to first dry a product and afterwards treat it with a different temperature in the same machine. This controlled tempering is of importance e.g. in the food industry. This is achieved by separating both the shaft and the hutch into two different temperature areas.

Because of its similar type of construction it is possible to dry a product first and afterwards cool it in the same machine. After cooling down the product can be immediately bottled in container.

The advantage is obvious - instead of two machines for this types of applications one machine is enough. Both types – the NPD-D and the NPD-C – have been successfully tested and put into operation.
