What are "mohs" and "rockwell" scale hardness for your dolomite? What waste rock/soil do you have on the top of the seam or seams of dolomite? Is it shale? Is the dolomite in a vertical or near vertical seam in the quarry?

Do you have access to water for dust control?

How skilled is your maintenance staff?

What type of mobile equipment do you have to move the above materials?

Depending on the size of the system sometimes mobile crushing and screening systems do not mix very well with earthern ramps for loading materials.

Your production tonnages are small and this would lend itself to renting complete systems which would allow you to stockpile a very large amount of product to crush and screen with a much smaller rental expense rather than purchasing an entire mobile plant.

What I mean by this is that you could stock pile thousands of tons of material to crush and screen and when you are ready to process the material you will be able to fully utilize the rental unit (at the lowest cost per ton by running the crusher screener around the clock) as these systems are rented by the day or month.

What is you end product? Are you manufaturing asphault make up sand?Agricultural lime dust? Pea stone aggregate for roads? small aggregate for cement mixes?

You should tell us what your needs are if you desire sincere advice.

Any mobile crusher screening system requires extensive daily maintenance and inspection, you have not mentioned anything regarding your capabilities regarding this as well and this must be taken into consideration as these systems need daily refueling, greasing and fluid level inspections.

What type of maintenance are you our your organization capable of? This is a huge consideration as you will need diesel fuel, greases, lubricating oils and compressed air to clean the crushers and screener.

If you want an electric system you will need large transformer fed by 4000 volts AC power. reduced to 600 or 480 volts three phase power. You will need a switch gear and a large amount of trailing cable to power the system as well.

With your requirements you may need two systems to fraction your materials.

Spokane crusher maufactures a trailer mounted vertical impact crusher that could break and resize the material and of course "kawasaki" and "pegson" and "terex" and others make additional track mounted systems for mobile crushing and screening. All the above manufacturers maintain a world wide presence in the market place.

Perhaps using two rental crusher screening systems is the answer as you could crush and stock pile a large amount of material and then rent a second unit to crush and screen the material a second time.

Renting the units allows you to run one unit at a time continuosly around the clock and obtain full value for your rentals. That being said renting both units at the same time is also a possibility due to the small tonnages produced per hour- but only if stockpiling thousands of tons of material before hand is done.

As I have said before its fine to ask but be up front/bring everything to the table to ask questions and expect an answer from us otherwise we we assume you are fishing for information.

REPLY: You are looking at reducing nominal 1.6 inch down to nominal .16" completely do-able...on a VERTICAL SHAFT IMPACTOR (Rock on steel anvil design vs ROCK on ROCK design)

Mobile is zero problem, dolomite is easily crushable and the capacity is very very small in terms of production tons per hour.

The electric motor size on this vertical shaft unit would probably be in the 100hp range assuming you want to do around 75-80 STPH....and possible as big as 125hp upon more detailed data.

Assuming the dolomite is not of a highly abrasive nature, your wear costs could be quite reasonable per ton produced but, more detail would be required on actual hardness, etc.

Capital cost complete for a portable unit could be in the 175,000 - 200,000 dollar range USD. making a rental to wack up your tonnage quickly and leave at a KNOWN FIXED COST as a laudable aspect vs the capital acquistion of the equipment.
