Re: About Roller Conveyor

Dear Shri Dabhade,

From your query, it seems that it pertains to conveying castings in a foundry. The castings or similar objects are often conveyed by trolley type conveyor wherein small trolleys are attached to a chain and the trolley moves along with a chain on the rails. Trolley has flanged wheels. There is also a conveyor wherein chains with attachments projects above the surface and objects with proper bottom surface or packages are moved forward. The casting which you are referring whether have consistent shape and size. If not so then trolley type conveyor may only suit the application. How about loading and unloading of such item. If these are light in weight and not hot then possibly it can be done manually. Otherwise one may have to place overhead chain pulley block at loading and unloading points. The conveyor may have to be stooped momentarily while loading or unloading.
