Tell us more about the whole material handling circuit you propose to use where coke degradation may occur.

Dear Mr. bfman,

if the unloading operation as such entails deterioration of the coke, f. i. by unloader from ship or tipping of rail car: Pls. provide more detailed information.

Once the coke is on the belt, and going through the conveyor system until final discharge: It is done by keeping the impact energy at the lowest possible level, by using sliding mode motion after the impact as much as possible and (if feasible) cushioning the impact of the coal.

Precisely what coke is involved?

Is the issue mainly related to dust generation?

Does the system already exist?

As an unloading extreme you might be talking about dropping pet coke after water jetting out of a refinery coker. No dust problem there: yet.

You have to tell more. Don't forget to mention lump sizes, moisture, tonnages etc etc.
