we have supplied 800 &100 dia screw conveyors to a sugar refinary. One screw conveyor is of 22 m length and having 3 hanger bearings with teflon journals. The capacity of the screw is 140 tph.
Hanger bearing style is 226.
I am facing a problem of frequent worn out and failing of bushes. The frequency of failing is 15 days.
Can any body suggest the suitable arrangement of
1. Type of hanger bearing to be used.
2. Food grade journal material.
3. Increase the life of journal at least for 6 months.

Sugar bulk density is 0.8 t/ cum
moisture content is 30 %.
