Double cone type tumble blenders would have a similar blending action to the pan type blender you are using. The shape of the vessel is relatively close to a spherical shape and will minimize the breakdown of materials while gently tumbling. If the granulation is made on a rotating pan (usually known as pelletizing disc) in my opinion it does not make sense to look for a tumble mixer for scale up. A pelletizing disc is usually running continously and will not used as a mixer. It is used for pellitization / granulation by spraying water on a dry powder continuously.

In a tumble mixer, usually operating discontinously, the water distribution which is used for granulation is usually the weak point of this type of machines.

Over all the final production capacity also strongly influences the type of machine which can be used for this task.

The company Eirich offers granulation mixers as well as pelletizing discs up to several meters in diameter. Of course a direct scale up on a pelletizing disc (rotating pan) is possible.
