To join this team we have an excellent opportunity within our Boiler Technology Stream.

The role involves:

•Providing technical expertise in the field of bulk materials handling in power plant (coal, biomass, ash, dust, limestone and gypsum)

•Bringing materials handling expertise to a team of power plant engineers

•Ensuring jobs are completed to time, quality, cost and customer needs

•Proactively developing business opportunities and proposals

•Embracing our strong safety culture

The Individual

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they:-

•Possess interpersonal skills that allow effective team working and working with our customers

•Can work under pressure to meet challenging targets

•Are self motivated, with drive, energy and commitment

•Are commercially aware and receptive to change

•Take an innovative approach to solving problems

•Can adopt the culture of continuous improvement

Technical Attributes:-

•Possess a degree, or equivalent, in an engineering discipline

•Chartered Engineer or working towards it

•At least 5 years experience working in an industrial/consultancy environment, preferably in the field of bulk materials handling plant

•Problem solving within an industrial engineering environment

In addition, experience in design, inspection or maintenance of boiler auxiliary plant e.g. fans, dampers, airheaters, expansion joints etc. would be advantageous.

As a member of Power Technology you may be required to work in other areas of the Team as business and personal objectives require.

The salary for this appointment will reflect the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate, but is likely to be in the range £28,000 - £48,000.
