Experience : More than four decades of serving Rubber Industry, working for corporates, promoting Rubber lining projects and currently as free lance consultant since 1998 and author of rubber books for leading publishers such as William Andrews Inc. US and RAPRA UK.
1989 - 1998 : Promoted O R Elastomers (P) Ltd., with an outlay of Rs.45 Lakhs at Chennai and served as M.D. of the company. The companies' clients were Corromendal Fertilizers, DCW, Chemplast, BHEL piping Centre, Kali Materials, Anand Chromates, Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd., M & N Dustur, TI Cycle of India, etc.
1983 - 1989 : Founder Promoter of "Lebracs Rubber lining private Limited", Pondicherry with an outlay of Rs. 1.25 Crores and served as Managing Director of the Company from start-up stage to commencement of production.
1978 - 1983 : Joined MIL as Chief of R & D and Senior Rubber Technologist.
1. Developed all types of Rubber formulations for anticorrosive lining of chemical plant and equipment.
2. Obtained recognition for their R & D establishment from Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
3. Presented technical papers and reports in various National and International seminars sponsored by "Chemical Age of India" and chlor alkali, fertilizer and mining Industries held at Delhi, Kanpur, Kolkata, Kottayam and Chennai.
4. Published articles on "Airbone Rubber Seals", in `Polymer Review', "Elastomers as construction of materials in "Chemical Age of India", representing MIL Industries Ltd.
5. Developed simulated testing devices for assessing the suitability of Rubber compounds for different duty conditions.
6. Developed bleach resistant rubber compounds for Caustic Soda Industries and HCL, Chorine and Phos Acid, resistant rubbing linings for mining and fertilizers Industries.
7. Visited International Seminars on rubber in Malaysia in 1983 representing MIL Industries.
1973 - 1978 : Indian Air Force, M/O Defence as Senior Scientific Officer Grade I, Design and Development of Airborne and air weaponry rubber products, involved from development and manufacturing and upto the stage of type approval by Directorate of Aeronautics.
1969 - 1973 : Served erstwhile Madras Industrial Rubber Linings Ltd., Chennai (MIL) as Rubber technologist. Development of corrosion resistant rubber compounds, process development research and development.
1967 - 1969 : Fenner Cockhill Ltd., Madurai as Rubber Technologist manufacturing Oil seals, O rings and Industrial moulded goods, V-Belts etc.
1966 - 1976 : Deccon Enterprises, Hyderabad manufacturing pressure pipes coupling rings.
1960 - 1966 : Started the career in M/s.SIRUBBER TVS, Madurai manufacturing Auto rubber products, tread rubbers and adhesives as Production In-charge.
20. Training : Underwent training in Rubber technology sponsored by TVS, Madurai and ICI Ltd., Calcutta
