1999 August – Date

Currently the Dry Bulk Development manager (Global function) based in London
with responsibilities to analyse the dry bulk market, draft the group’s relevant strategy, suggest to the top management and implement same throughout the company and its alliance memers.

Earlier the GAC London Hub biz manager ( leading a team of 3 persons) responsible for the selection ,audit, development and smooth function of the GAC sub agents network in Europe/Black Sea /Meditterannean/North Africa.
Responsible within my region for the hub activities of Chevron London, BP, Tankers International, V-ships/Frontline, Stasco.
Member of the CHEVRONTEXACO / GAC committee.

September 1996 - July 1999-

Owner of the Shipmanagement/Shipbroking and Trading company ‘’BLUE PINE SHIPPING & TRADING’’ acting as Freight contractors and Despondent owners for the Meditterannean coaster vessel, Sormovskiy type, MV Vladimir Molodtsov.
The company was involved in trading of agriproducts between Ukraine andGreece and s was representing the port of Kiev, in Greece /Turkey and Cyprus.

September 1995 - June 1996
Shipping director of Unibros S.A a Steel trading company established in Cyprus, having full responsibility for the operations/chartering and Cargo Insurance matters of the affiliate TRIGONMAR SHIPPING. The latter was acting as a freight contractor/ dispondent owner specialized in steel and general cargo tramp liner full or parcel services from Ukraine /Black sea ports to Far East and China destinations.


1991 November -1995 September
Operations & Chartering Manager of TOP Hellas S.A , an affiliate of OPT Transport - Thyssen Haniel Logistics Group, acting as tramp liner /parcel operators from Baltic or Black sea ports to Far East destinations.
As a part of my familiarization with the OPT group I was posted for 2 months in Rotterdam and later on 1 month in the Thyssen Headquarters in Düsseldorf.
TOP HELLAS was also involved in agency activities throughout Greece through its affiliated company Delpa Shipping and Transport.
Among others I was part of the team which developed the forwarding activities, NVOCC-LCL/FCL to various destinations using Antwerp port as a distribution point.


1986 August -1991 October
Joined GAC acting as the Regional Marketing and Sales representative for Greece, Eastern Mediterranean, and Black sea. Major task was to collect outstanding from old principals, evaluate recovery options from bad payers, and sale or promote the company’s agency network to various Ship-owners and Traders/Charterers within my area.

1983 December -1986 August

Served my compulsory National service in the Greek Army, as an officer.

1974 September – 1983 December

Joined Shipping in the family related company ‘’Efthimar Shipping’’ ship managers of 10 dry cargo vessels, having started as a disbursements controller and accountant, later on moved to the operations department, and a member of the chartering team.
During the period I have been on board the Mediterranean coaster MV Pasajes in order to gain the appropriate sea going experience.
