Electronics has been my passion since my early teenage years. Conveyor Tension Control became my passion in 1982. My technical background is very strong in Physics and Mechanics and I have been involved in a wide variety of industrial electronics. This has involved Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and Hydraulic design. Accompanying this has been programming of PLCs as well as Embedded Micro-controllers in Machine Code.
I believe that my understanding of Take-Up Winch Control of Conveyor Belts has enabled me to complete the design of two new systems. The EGT-28AX for Variable Speed Winches and the EGT-24FX for fixed Speed Winches. I also designed our very successful 2-Wire Loop-Powered 4-20mA Tension Transducers.
My wife and I live in Johannesburg and have 2 children a daughter, who qualified as a Chartered Accountant and a son who qualified in IT support both living in London and working in the Financial sector. We have 3 beautiful Granddaughters there.
