Biography:
Born 1949 in Ladysmith, Natal, South Africa. Obtained BSc Eng (Elec) at University of Pretoria 1972.
Pretoria Portland Cement Comapny 1974-1976 as Assistan Resident Engineer responsible for maintainance of a Cement factory.
Texas Nuclear SA 1977-1978 as Project Engineer responsible for design and commissioning of industrial measurement systems employing gamma type measurement systems.
Ramsey Engineering SA 1978-1980 as Chief Engineer. Responsible for all engineering matters. Ramsey supplied weighing instruments to the mining & heavy industries.
Process Automation (Pty) Ltd 1980-present. Responsible for the design and manufacture of industrial weighing system and gamma measurement systems including conveyor scales, Loss-In-Weight feeders, Belt weigh feeders, Gamma type conveyor scales, In-Motion Scales, Gamma type Density gauges, Gamma type Level gauges.
Currently in the position of Managing Director.
Hobbies include: Photography & motor cycling.
Know-how and experience:
Involved in the field of Bulk material handling since 1980. Gained vast experience in the accurate extraction, mass flow measurement & control of wide range of materials from powders to tobacco to bagasse. Industries served include: Mining (coal, gold, platinum, copper,Iron ore, lead, copper, diamonds etc), Paper & Pulp, Cement & Lime, Quarrying, Sugar, Base minerals, Tobacco, Power generation, Petrochemical, Fertiliser
