I wonder if there is any technical document where to find a kind of test where to see how the quality of the grains or cereals decreases in order the belt conveyor speed is higher. I am referring to belt conveyors to transport grains and cereals (corn, soya, etc).
When there is a transition from one belt conveyor to another, the horizontal speed of the grains produces a crash that could cause a quality loss.
The typical speed for these belt conveyors is around 3 meters per second. I wonder what happens if the speed is higher, around 4 meters per second. ■
Quality loss due to speed of high belt conveyor
