Feldspar & Quarry Fines Drying

Posted in: , on 14. Jul. 2010 - 15:10

We are currently considering drying the following:-

Feldspar @ 50 & 150 tonnes per hour

Starting moisture content 10%

Target Moisture Content 1%

Size 300 microns

Quarry Fines @ 200 tonnes per hour

Starting Moisture content 8%

Target Moisture Content 1% or less

Size 2 / 3mm

We are seeking a competitive operating running costs & maintenance cost as a rate per tonne excluding the capex for the plant. i.e cheap, and environmentally friendly drying options pls.

Both products are extremely abrasive so indication as a rate per tonne on maintenance is important.

The moisture on both products will be surface mositure.

Fluidized bed drier appears to be most suitable equipment. Drum drier will also do work with higher fuel consumption. Please look at following web site

http://www.sanddryer.com/

I had recommended and used Fluid bed dryer (Dorr-Oliver) for drying iron ore concentrate of -1 mm size (135 TPH).

Thank you for your response please could you give me an indication of the following for each enquiry:-

For both Rotary & Fluidised Bed

1. Type of fuel that can be used?

2. How much fuel per tonne to achieve the design brief?

3. How much carbon emissions are produced per tonne?

4. How many tonnes per hour?

Many Thanks

Robert,

We would like to highlight our interest in your enquiry. The LamiFlo Material Handling & Drying System can dry the Feldspar & Quarry Fines, in an extremely economic & environmentally friendly solution. http://www.lfpumping.com

The LamiFlo does not use gas, gas oil or other carbon based fuels, thus massively reducing carbon emissions and cost.

The tonnage per hour is definitely not a problem, as One bespoke LamiFlo Unit can dry up to 500 tonnes per hour. Each unit will be designed to suit your product and your output requirements.

We can also offer a option of mobile drying on site, to reduce transportation of product to a drying facility, thus reducing carbon emissions and cost. http://www.lfpumping.com/mobile-contract-services/

The LamiFlo Drying unit also doubles up as a material handler i.e. transporting product from A to B up to 500 metres horizontally or vertically.

We partner with a company who can turn the Dried Quarry Fines into the Pefect Sand.

Drying and material Handling doesn't have to cost the Earth, with a LamiFlo Unit the possibilities are endless.
