Andre

Check out the following that I know about.

Modsim

http://www.mineraltech.com/MODSIM/modsim.html

Aggflow

http://www.aggflow.com/

Don't know how much your willing to spend but simulators are not cheap. But if you plan on doing lots of design work then the time saved can be justified.

Dear Andre,

You can build a crusher and screening model with recirculating circuits without resorting to a Population Balance Model (PBM).

The PBM will give excellent results and Modsim is very good as is JKTechs JKSIMMET, and Metso's However, these are complex and costly.

You can construct, in Excel, a reasonable simulation of the crushing and screening circuits with apriori knowledge of crusher characteristics, multi-deck screen behavior (wet and dry) with the aid of the Rosin-Ramler rock breakage curves. This takes about 2-3 days to construct or faster if you have all the information.

You might obtain an old Rexnord Redbook on the screen deck probability equations.
