Clyde Blowers Announce Creation of inBulk Technologies -

A Revolutionary Concept for Bulk Materials Transportation and Storage

East Kilbride-based Clyde Blowers has launched a brand new concept that will revolutionise the transportation and storage of bulk materials. It will trade under the name InBulk Technologies Limited and will offer customers economic benefits and improvements in their bulk material supply chain.

Founded in 1924, Clyde Blowers is the global market leader in on-load boiler cleaning equipment and a reputable force in materials handling equipment. Rapid expansion within this latter area over the last few years has resulted in exciting new product offerings for the bulk materials handling industry.

States Jim McColl, chairman of Clyde Blowers: “The launch of InBulk Technologies represents a significant investment for Clyde Blowers and underlines our continued commitment to both existing and potential customers throughout the world. With the inception of InBulk Technologies, we have combined decades of materials handling expertise and knowledge to expand the business to provide revolutionary materials transportation solutions for customers. It is a natural progression for the business to branch out further into intermodal bulk materials transportation systems and I believe InBulk Technologies will lead the way across a number of industries.”

InBulk Technologies will operate as one of Clyde Blowers’ portfolio companies based at its Materials Handling division in Doncaster and will deliver a wide range of materials handling solutions including the innovative new ISO-Veyors. ISO-Veyors are combined delivery and storage vessels designed specifically for use across a range of process industries including mineral, food, pharmaceutical and chemical and will offer full, added value economic solutions to meet all intermodal transportation systems requirements.

ISO-Veyors have evolved from Clyde Blowers’ phenomenally successful Clean Cut system that was developed to transport drill cuttings from offshore oil platforms back to land for processing, thus satisfying strict environmental issues related to dumping at sea. This business was recently sold for an undisclosed sum to the American multi-national Mi-Swaco.

Executive director at Clyde Blowers William J. Thomson OBE who will head the new business explains: “InBulk Technologies symbolises a major development for all our staff and a valuable addition to Doncaster’s recent string of internationally renowned business successes, including the Clean Cut system. The new business will play a key role in the future expansion of our bulk materials handling activity and will enable us to strengthen our already enviable position within the marketplace.”
