Good order intake at K 2007 for plastics shredding machines
WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH, Ilsfeld, has been able to conclude several purchase contracts directly at the K 2007 fair (24-31.10.2007, Düsseldorf), especially for single shaft shredders for shredding of plastics. The customers originated mainly from abroad, but a very high level of enquiries was also recorded from the domestic market, especially by new customers. Overall, the company has been able to gain and extremely large number of good contacts with real potential for post-fair business.
It was particularly with single shaft shredders that a clear trend towards large machines was noted, starting with the WLK 15 with working width of 1,500 mm, and with throughput performance of 500 kg/h upwards.
The worldwide operating producer of shredding machines at the leading fair for the plastics industry presented not only its entire product programme, but also different drive systems for various tasks in shredding of plastics.
New member of VDMA
WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH has recently become a new member of the plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers’ association within the German Engineering Federation, VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V.), in Frankfurt am Main. The association is made up of important producers of machinery, plant and additional equipment for compounding and processing of plastics and rubber.
WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH has been building shredding machines for more than 25 years for quite different tasks, such as for customers in the plastics, wood and recycling industries throughout the world. The company employees a worldwide staff of approx. 200 employees and has its own sales locations in France, United Kingdom, America, Japan and is also represented by more than 50 sales agencies throughout the world. The production programme includes single-shaft shredders, two- and four-shaft shredders, cutting mills (granulators), briquetting presses and plant, as well as accessories.
