Biography:
Marcelo graduated from the University of Chile with a degree in mechanical engineering. Prior to joining Poly Hi Solidur in 1997, he spent four years engineering application solutions for Minera Michilla S.A., a copper mine in Chile. From 1997-2001, Marcelo worked for Poly Hi Solidur as International Project Engineer, developing and providing all technical support for bulk material lining applications in Latin America. In addition, for part of that tenure he served as Poly Hi Solidur’s Territory Manager for Peru, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay and Paraguay. He is currently Project Engineering Manager at Poly Hi Solidur’s Delmont, Penn., facility with responsibilities for developing bulk material handling lining designs.
Know-how and experience:
With more than 10 years experience as a mechanical engineer in the bulk material handling industry, Marcelo has established himself as an expert in designing and implementing application solutions. He has worked closely with some of the top engineering flow consultants in the world to combine Poly Hi Solidur’s TIVAR® 88 product family with engineering specifications and has successfully completed turnkey projects worldwide. He is also responsible for SystemTIVAR® Engineering’s score-cut drop-in liner program.
