•Responsible for setting up of `Bulk solids Flow Lab.’ for shear testing of various bulk solids (e.g. cement, ores, fertilizers, coals,) to design large scale silos, bunkers, stockpiles, transfer chutes for reliable gravity mass flow systems design of mineral slurry pipe lines and pneumatic conveyor pipe line systems.
•Consultancy assignments to Public and Private sector industries (ACC, BHEL, EIL, HSCL, MECON, NLC, NTPC, Tata Consultants etc.) for design of reliable flow silos for strength (e.g., Modernization of steel plants, Coal-fired thermal power plants, Cement plants etc.).
•Air, pollution, Afforest ration and Socio-ecological studies in large-scale open cast iron ore mines.
•Conceptual designs of a 175Km.iron ore concentrate pipeline system from Bababudan deposit to Mangalore port.
•Equipment selection for the integrated mineral processing pilot plant in the R&D Center
•Iron ore tailings pipeline system designs for Bailadila deposits 5,1411C and 1011A mines
•Design of 4000T Capacity Silo systems at Bailadila Deposit 1011A, (along with Canadian MetChem Engineers) (after generating Flowability test data for different Iron Ore Composites) from Bailadila 1011A deposits.
•Assessment of Visakhapatnam and Mangalore ports iron ore finesconcentrates bunker systems for reliable flow for ship loading operations to minimize demurrage charges
•Application of Blains surface area technique for pelletization plant operations.
•Superfine grinding of blue dust from 150 microns to about 2 microns by fluid energy mills, vibratory and planetary mills.
•Direct reduction of blue dust and production of Iron carbide through Fluidized bed reactor route using reducing gases from coal gasification, natural gas, ammonia and methanol.
