Biography:
Prof. Walter Bartelmus was born in 1941, holds a MEng(1967), PhD(1971), DSc(1980). He was with: the Technical University of Silesia (1967-'80), Istitute for Open Cast Mining (1980-'93), Wroclaw University of Technolgy from 1994. He is a member of Polish Technical Diagnostic; Acoustic, Mechanics; Associations, member of International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration. He lectured and gave seminars in Southampton Institute,UK; Gunma University, Japan; Universty Jean Monnet, IUT, Roanne, France; Vaxjo University Sweden on Machine dynamics, diagnostics, vibration and noise.
Know-how and experience:
Condition monitoring of surfice mining machinery. Mathematical modelling and computer simulations supporting machine diagnostic inference, conveyor dynamic. Belt conveyors noise analysis and reduction. An author of the book: Condtion Monitoring of Surfice Mining Machinery (in Polish) it is being prepared in English version.
