B.Sc.(Engg.)& M.Sc.(Engg.)from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi(India),
Ph.D.from Indian Institute of Technology,Bombay,on the topic-Investigations on Hydro And Pneumotransport in 1991.
Worked as Lecturer & Assistant Professor at Regional Institute of Technology,Jamshedpur(India), from 1980 to 1997.Presently working as Professor of Mechanical Engineering at NERIST, Nirjuli(Itanagar),Arunachal Pradesh (India).
Life Member of National Society of Fluid Mechanics & Fluid Power of India
Research activity in the area of Fluid-Solid Transport in Pipeline, Acoustics,
Energy
Hobbies:Swiming & Travelling.

Know-how and experience:
Developed a mathematical model(SK model)
purely on theoretical basis to predict pressure drop and critical velocity for fluid-solid flow in an inclined pipe. The model could be applied very successfully to estimate pressure drop and critical velocity for hydro and pneumotransport of varieties of granular solid paricles through horizontal, inclined and vertical pipes.
These equations are also useful in analysing the systems of hydrotransport and pneumotransport from economic point of view, starting from selecting an economical carrier fluid to the determination of economical size of the particle from energy consumption point of view. Such type of analysis has been made for the transport of solids like coal, gravel, pvc et. Same equations are used for gas-solid mixture flow as well as liquid-solis mixture flow in pipes of any inclinations with similat degree of accuracy.

Fields of Consulting work:
fluid-solid flow in pipes, hydrotransport, granular particles,
pneumotransport, horizontal rtansport, inclined flow, and vertical pipes, heterogeneous mixture flow etc.
