Biography:
Born in Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma, gradating with a BS degree in chemical engineering. Additional studies at the University of Cincinnati and Lamar University in statistics and graduate engineering courses. Worked for International Paper Co., Dow Chemcial Company, J.M. Huber Corporation and Kirby Forest Industries. Past memberships in AICHE, TAPPI, National Forest Products Assoc., Retired Professional Engineer, State of Texas and Oklahoma.
Know-how and experience:
I invented a new method for sensing moisture "inside-the-dryer" that when used as the basis for the Delta T moisture control system enables a minimum 30% reduction in moisture variation of products exiting dryers, ovens, kilns, and the like. For those products that are sold by weight, the moisture content can be increased as a result of the tightening of moisture control such that more water can be sold without exceeding the upper specification limit. In addition to a production increase, there are energy savings and the product quality is improved. Two patents on the Delta T technology are the basis for my company, Drying Technology, Inc., that specializes in developing the best in moisture control systems.
