Biography:
John joined Jenike & Johanson in 1970. He has been consulting and providing solutions for clients with bulk solids handling problems ever since, including silos, bins, bunkers, processing vessels, hoppers, feeders and conveyors.

As a specialized engineering firm our primary focus is to provide a means for our clients to obtain reliable bulk solids flow. Utilizing the largest and most complete laboratory in the world for characterizing the properties of bulk solids, we have tested over 8,000 bulk solids for more than 3,000 clients worldwide in industries as varied as chemical processing, plastics, pharmaceuticals, power/utility, metals, mining, solid waste, glass, foods/food processing, and consumer products from detergents to eye shadow.

We have a well-equipped prototype lab for building and testing models of proposed equipment. This allows us to investigate flow patterns in equipment, validate conceptual designs, demonstrate the feasibility of equipment, and run instrumented models to ensure that high value projects are successful.

Our dedicated and highly trained engineers provide detailed structural and mechanical design of solids handling equipment, and routinely design silos, feeders, chutes, blenders, and custom equipment (e.g., purge vessels, large slide gates, etc.).

We can also manufacture and supply custom equipment, from small one-of-a-kind items to complete systems, providing a complete solution with single source responsibility.
