Balanced vs Unbalanced Motors

I am looking to purchase vibrating conveyors and have 3 different vendors that have quoted. There is a large Hp difference in the vendors as for example for 1 of the conveyors, one quoted 90p, another 80Hp and the other 2 (20 Hp) motors which equal 40 Hp. Thus one vendor is 1/2 or less than the others but the explanation I was given is the use of unbalanced motors uses less Hp than a balanced motor and it is less expensive.

Can someone explain the balanced vs unbalanced motor in simple language and adivse whether the above can make sense?

Thank you.

Billy

PLEASE Check this link out for a typical explanation, which very likely pertains to the different types of units you are in fact being quoted. Both will basically do the job.....but, by different methods and both are correct.
