Re: Fly Ash Rotary Feeder
Dear Philip,
If you address the problem of leakage, are you then referring to air leakage in a pneumatic conveying system or just material leaking?
In case of an application in pneumatic conveying, it is a well-known issue that leaking rotary locks create problems such as fluctuating conveying and conveying pressures.
Special design and extensive maintenance can reduce (or eliminate) those problems.
A low-pressure drop pneumatic conveying system reduces the problems also.
A leak-free solution is a screw feeder, but this solution comes with extra power demand.
Have a look at:

for some suppliers.
To comment on the rotor feeder that causes your problems, it is necessary to suplly more information.
Have a nice day,

Also comment on manufacturers that have supplied good reliable equipment.
My application uses a 24" Diameter rotor and we have leakage issues related to an open ended rotor.
