Kevin Sherrie of GPM Australia Limited

Kevin has been employed by GPM Australia Limited for the past 4 years of and is mainly reasonable for the Technical Flour Milling Engineering and Sales and is representing OCRIM SPA of Italy in the Australian Pacific regions.

Recent projects were to design & construct a Greenfield 240 te/24hrs hard/soft wheat-milling site in PNG utilizing the latest technology supplied from OCRIM. Also develop Flour Milling Strategy’s for countries in the Asia pacific region representing the World Bank and others Countries include Veitnam, Indonesia. Two major installation upgrades involving the utilizing of the Ocrim RMQ Roller mill where the client was asking for an increase capacity of 20%. Design & construct two-inline premix & packaging plant’s utilizing loss-weight feeding devices from IMECO. The most recent project completed is to design and construct a Oat Flour Mill producing a wide range of specialty flours.

Prior to this he came from Defiance Milling where he held the position of Milling Operations Manager for Australia and New Zealand for five years and Milling Operations Manager New Zealand /Christchurch Mill Site Manager for three years.

Kevin has worked at every level of Flour Milling industry in the past 27 years and also has gained experience in cereal grains such as Buckwheat, Rice, Soya, Barley, Rye, Oats and Durum Wheat Milling. Other appointments included Mill Supervisor at the CSIRO Bread Research Institute, Construction of a Greenfield milling site and Site Manager in the Solomon Islands for two years for Fielder Industries Limited.

He is an active member of the Australian Association of Technical Millers, Association of Operative Millers (U.S.) and he has attained the Operative & Advanced Milling Certificate from the City and Guilds Council in London. For the last 7 years has been a tutor for the Australia pacific regions of the same course.
