Biography:
Born: London, 1964

I studied Applied Physics at Coventry Lanchester Polytechnic, graduating with an honours degree. Having spent an industrial training year at Infrared Engineering I returned as an Applications Engineer in 1987 and continued to develop novel applications for the growing number of products.

As the Applications functions were naturally divided between technical support and development I tended towards the tech support role and was seconded to our USA operation in 1990. During my time in the USA I was responsible for all aspects of technical support and had specific responsibilities for looking after our largest customer in the snack food industry.

After returning to the UK I managed the Technical Support Group for 4 years and then became Product Manager for the Tobacco business. I am Now involved in all application areas as the Marketing Manager for Sensors.

Outside of work I enjoy sailing and scuba diving as well as many other shore-based activities!

Know-how and experience:
Extensive knowledge in the development and application of moisture measurement by near infrared (NIR) technology.

Expirience in bringing on-line measurement solutions to enclosed bulk material processing systems.

Very good understanding of calibration methods for on-line gauging.
