Continuous Level Indiacators and Limit Level Indicators?

Dear Friends

I work in a cement manufacturing industry. I come across basic two type of indicators while studing the plant.

1) Limit Level Indicators

2) Continuous level Indicator.

Can anyone tell the difference between these two.?

My interpretation of your descriptions would be -

1) A level indicator at a single position in a bin or hopper, gives a signal when the material reaches the indicator. Frequently used in pairs to indicate low and high material level in the bin or hopper.

2) A level indicator that gives a continuous indication of the amount of material in the bin or hopper.

I would go back to the plant you have been studying, go to the level indicators, take the details from the manufacturers nameplate, then look up the information on the manufacturers web site.
