A new series of coal de-watering test work have just been completed. Test work prooved a method of de-waterting using microwave energy to a new efficiency level. Results show that water can be removed at an energy consuption rate of 0.52Kwh per Kg of water.
This is a step change in the economics of Microwave de-watering (drying) of coal.
