Unfortunateley there is not yet a single deck screen which will do what you need, and clearly must accomplish.

Your solution is fairly straightforward, filter manufacturers would refer you to the topic of 'depth filtration'. Long particles pass the appertures and can then, because of their alignment, be impeded by a deck running just below the deck they passed. Your decks must not be much farther apart than the undersize you wish to collect. That means a low bed depth and therefore a small throughput.

The lower deck is blank and the rods would have to be removed periodically.

Come in the experts.

Cross Belt Magnet

RECOMMEND:

use of a cross belt magnet........DINGS, WALKERS, ERIEZ or other to SNATCH the steel rods.........off the deck and drop off to the side.....of the vibrating screener.

yes no? mabe?

Magnetite will stick to the rods so it has to be mechanical separation.

Link May Help.......

Detect/Remove Tramp Iron From Magnetite Ore?

Posted on 14. Jun. 2011 - 02:44

I'm looking for experiences relating detection/removal of tramp iron from magnetite ore.

How can tramp iron get separated from a circulating load of a SAG mill in pebble crushing conveyor line?

By Specific Gravity Separation Maybe.....

CHECK OUT CFS...on internet....particles of different specific weight can be separated by a density separation process.....

CHECK THIS LINK: these folks are very sharp..
