i was wondering if anyone has experience how to screen material on a cutterhead dredge.i have tried vibrating screens in the past and it did not work .i was looking into a double skin trommel but the weight seems to be a problem.if anybody has a different idea that actually works at a job site please post .

thank you

Hi solgold,

A very unusual application. What exactly are you trying to do?

1 - dewater your solids?

2 - cut out a specified size - With a double trommel you might be looking for oversize, middlings, and undersize or slimes.

Do you need some upstream processing - like a grizzly, or an Archamedies screw?

You can size particles with hydrocyclones - that's pretty standard mining dewatering technology.

Vibrating Screens On Dredge System

Posted on 11. May. 2008 - 07:09

see pic of a very successful operating currently running at one of my customer's dredging operations. Dredging sand and gravel, sizing on vibrating screen with rubber media, dewatering on small vibrating screen following and thru a cyclone after that.

Hope this helps.
