PMT-Jetmill is one of the leading companies in producing ultrafine grinding equipment for the industrial minerals industry.

Our spiral type jetmill system is specially suitable for soft laminar minerals like talc, mica, graphite, etc.

The machine can produce talc down to the submircon range (e.g. d50 < 0.5 µm).

We would be happy to assist in designing a suitable system for your requirements.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Dr. Jürgen Roth

It is not really practical to use a ball mill on talc for the particle sizes that you desire. I suggest you contact...

I totally agree, that ball mills are not the best choice for micronizing talc.

An important thing in processing laminar fillers is the functionality of the mineral, mainly based on the platy structure. To conserve this structure the above mentioned spiral jetmills from PMT-Jetmill are highly recommended (www.powder-maker.com).

We may offer you a Jet mill system for fine grinding of talc and other minerlas. With approx. 50 Cubic m. air compressor and a built in classofier you may get approx. 300 kg d 50 2 micron products.

An option is a vibration mill with classifier system. The vibo-mill is a new invention with a vertical design. You need a 600 L mill

( motor size 37kW) or two pieces of small version. Additionally, a single wheel classifier (diameter 260mm) will be installed to get your desired fineness and capacity. It will be a very economic system with low energy consumption and investment. For confirmatio we propose a test grinding.

Please contact us if you are interested in our proposal.

We can grind grist acc. to Mr. Alpaslan wish on our vertical mills. We have

a pilot grinding plant with KTM 360 vertical mill and for to be sure we need

~1 ton of grist for exact results. We think we must use 2 KTM 400 mills or 1

KTM 800.

We are the UK's leading manufacturer of Ball Mills, Opposed Jet Mills, Spiral Jet Mills and Classifiers, and have been manufacturing milling and classifying equipment for over 70 years.

In our experience the best mill for your product and throughput would definately be an Opposed Jet Mill with integral rotating Classifier.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any further assistance.

We are one of the best mill manufacturer in China, but according to our experience , for the grinding technology you want to is produce d50= 2 micron and production capacity 400 kg/h, you should use jet mill.

You can find some information on jet mill by google.

Dear Alpaslan,

I would say that spiral jet mill is the best technology to micronize talc at d50 = 2 micron at 400kg/h.

To size the appropriate micronisation unit it would be useful to know the d50 BEFORE MICRONISATION.

Micronisation trials available at our Test Centre.

We can provide you with either a ProMill-16 or ProMill-20 spiral jet mill micronisation unit with a new-generation milling chamber geometry recently designed (2003) to decrease turbulences and optimize productivities and process gas consumptions.

Do not hesitate to contact us for more information on our micronisation solutions, recent developments, etc.

With my best regards,

We're already grinding talc with d50=6, d97= 18 micron in ball mill. the capacity decreases if we require to grind to finer sizes.

Which grinding technology is the best for me to produce d50= 2 micron and production capacity 400 kg/h??
