Northeast Region-Account Manager

Territory from Virginia through New England states

We are retained by our client who has had great success in designing engineered power generation safety systems. We seek to meet candidates for direct sales assignments in the northeast region. Our client is a small, well managed and growing enterprise with over 100 employees with expertise in safety systems at power plants in the US.

Have you been successful at increasing “share of wallet” with your existing clients?

Do you conceptualize the application of your company’s technology and products to other industry sectors?

Can you identify the high value reference customers in other target sectors and close these orders?

•We seek an assertive individual with experience managing a sales territory for an organization that is marketing technical projects and systems as well as follow on services

•We desire to meet those candidates with prior successful tenure in sales of engineered capital equipment systems and associated service sales and maintenance contracts.

•In this position you will be accountable for preparing a sales forecast and booking forecasted sales revenue

•You will be expected to generate and qualify leads, while coordinating the development of proposals through other field and headquarters based technical support resources.

•You will utilize sales and industry knowledge skills to sell products and services in your territory to new and existing customers/prospects.

•You will schedule sales calls on pre-planned basis, with the existing customer base and new customer opportunities.

•You will be expected to build relationships with plant managers, operations managers, plant supervisors, engineers, and other plant personnel

•The successful candidate could be a capital equipment sales representative with technical knowledge and high potential that is currently underutilized at a large engineered products firm where their advancement opportunities may be blocked.

Educational/Experience/Other Requirements:

•Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferably a degree in Marketing or a technical degree.

•At least 2-5 years of direct selling experience in capital equipment preferably into the power generation industry although this is not a requirement

•You must have excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical, and sales skills

•Total compensation is comprised of base pay and incentives. A top performer after developing the territory for 12 to 24 months should earn a total annual compensation from the range of mid to high $100,000’s

•Overnight travel in the region will be at least 50% and may range up to 100% at peak periods of activity. Business travel is normally by company provided vehicle to industrial sites and utility power plants

•Total compensation is comprised of base pay and incentives. A top performer after developing the territory for 12 to 24 months could earn a total annual compensation from $150-175,000.
