hi everybody.

does anyone know about using of pd pump (specially piston diaphragm pump) for an iron ore concentrator plant tail?

I do not know of any type of piston diaphram pump in existance or

actual use.

Do you mean to enquire about a single or double diaphram

type pump specifically to move iron ore tailings, or do you

seek to use a plunger pump specifically to transfer tailings?

The plunger pump is suited for thick slurries/semi-solids and

the diaphram type pump is capable of pumping thinner slurries

of material.

Why are you not considering a centrifugal pump with wear resistant

liners for tailings disposal which is the normal way of doing this?

thanks for your answer

untitled

. we are using centrifugal pumps now. but needs to increasing tail (slurry) density (1.5 => 1.7 ton/m3) due to water consideration, compel us to using a pump to handle slurry pumping through a 2 km pipeline with higher solid percent. i mean is this sort of pump applicable and suitable for this application? (coarse d80 = 400 micron heavy solid SG 3 kg/cm3 )

I know that ABEL Pumps and WIRTH (both from Germany) manufacture such pumps. They sell their pumps for mine tailings incl. copper, nickel, iron. Not sure what their limitations are but I think it is worth to contact them.

Pumps Etc.

Your going to have to add back more water to the waste stream via a vacuum filter

or a clarifier with a return pipeline as you already have a heavy siltation problem.

The pumps of any manufacture or branding or size become useless with much lower

efficiency because of lower water volumes.

You should install a pipeline pigging/ball system to clean your tailings pipeline on a regular basis.

thanks for you attention

can explain about "pigging/ball system" further?

why choose PD pump?

centrifugal slurry pump is good choice for this.

Any question, send me email tongdapump@gmail.com we could discuss it together
