Good days everybody,
I am currently working in cement plant. I have a question that maybe you are the right person to answer.
We will start up our coal mill in the next few days. I like to be sure that exproof electrical line, engine and exproof illumination are required agaist the coal dust explosion referring any code of practice or written document.
Your help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Gohkan,
Please do as designer and louis have suggested and follow the NFPA guidelines
for the installation.
I cannot stress the impotance of house keeping for cleaning coal dust to reduce
the explosion hazard.
Also you need to obtain explosion resistant flash lights for employees working in the coal mill.
the NFPA has guidelines for thses as well- less than six volt flashlights to reduce the
explosion hazard.
Pelican makes a very good flash light for hazardous environments. ■
