Magaldi Group is specialized in designing and supplying highly dependable technologies for the mechanical handling of hot and abrasive bulk materials.
The unique Magaldi Superbelt® steel belt design is used since over 40 years in coal-fired Power Plants worldwide for the dry and air cooled removal of hot bottom ashes.
Since 2012, Magaldi is supplying its well proven removal systems also to Waste Incineration Plants: the Ecobelt® WA (Waste Ash) allows the dry removal of bottom ash from grate boilers, thus eliminating water used to cool ash/slag in traditional systems and allowing to save costs for water treatment and slag management in landfill.
Bottom ash dry removal also enables a more efficient separation and recovery of all contained ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals in highest possible quality. Same is not possible from wet ash.
In Italy, one of the first applications developed by Magaldi for the dry extraction of bottom ash from incineration plants will be soon installed at the ACEA Aria San Vittore del Lazio (FR) plant.
On the occasion of the Ecomondo exhibition, ACEA Group will host Magaldi team for a technical speech on its dependable technology for the WtE industry.
