As a part of my project, I need to replace the fin fan cooler placed at top of distillation column by a contact condenser which uses packing, so that it condenses the overhead vapor instead of fin fan cooler. So can anyone please tell me how to design the contact condenser, as in how the calculations need to be done so that I can find out the HETP of condenser for the given heat duty of fin fan cooler??
