Snake Ship Loader Instead

Posted on 2. Jan. 2007 - 07:17

Mr. hnatt,

Iron ore is conveyable on a troughed belt so it is only a matter of picking a mobile ship loader unit with an acceptable conveying angle (so the material will not slide or roll back).

A better solution is to use a DSI Snake Sandwich High Angle Conveyor Ship Loader. Such a ship loader uses the Dos Santos International sandwich belt system that can convey bulk material at any high angle. The ship loader is therefore more compact requiring less dock space.

We are presently installing such a ship loader at the Port of Adelaide, Australia. Please visit our website for more on the DSI Snake System.

Mr. girish,

We will be happy to provide you, in confidence, a quote of a DSI Snake Ship Loader for your very specific requirements. For this we must know the characteristics of the materials to be handled and at what respective design rates. Furthermore we must know the geometrical requirements including the dimensional layout of the ships to be loaded, the water level change, the dock height, the ship's draft range, hatch opening dimensions, etc. Also you must name other various features that you wish such as telescopings chute, with various levels of sophistication, onboard generator, etc.

Dear Hnatt

I don't know if you're still interested in the B&W shiploader range, but I can confirm that our equipment is entirely suitable for handling iron ore.

We have recently supplied a shiploader system to South America for loading similar materials.

If you would like more info either visit our web page at www.bwmech.co.uk or contact me directly on matt@bwmech.co.uk
